Swindon Churches Together

WELCOME

Please enjoy exploring this site, which gives expression to the rich and diverse relationships that exist between the Christian Churches in the Borough of Swindon and beyond.

You will find information about our churches and the many groups where the churches come together around common concerns, with a desire to be united in sharing their faith in Jesus Christ.

One of these concerns is, of course, our Climate.  Check out the tab on the news bar for more information on how Swindon Churches Together has teamed up with Good Energy.

So, what is Swindon Churches Together?  We have recently put together a leaflet explaining who we are, what we do and why we do it.  Click 2015 SCT: Who we are, what we do, why we do it to read the leaflet.  If you would like hard copies to give out at your Church/organisation please get in touch.

THE LIVING WAGE: Swindon Churches Together teamed up with Swindon Equality Group to highlight and campaign for the Living Wage in Swindon.  Report now available - click here to see the results

Just as a little aside - click here to find out why it's so important that we all have some laughter in our lives.

Ever heard these questions?

‘Help, does anybody know of any toddler groups in Abbey Meads?’
‘Where can I take my toddler in Old Town?’
‘Need ideas for a group I can take my 2 year old to in West Swindon’

Just a few of the requests posted on Community Facebook groups in Swindon; parents asking other parents for information and ideas of things to do with little children in different areas of our town.

In the UK churches run 27,000 toddler groups, providing fun activities for the 1,277 days that an average UK child has between birth and nursery education.

In Swindon there are over 30 toddler groups run by churches and Swindon Churches Together, an organisation that serves and supports churches in Swindon, has just launched a website directory to help people find out about these groups.
